Committees

The Committee Structure

Barton Civic Society has three main committees which meet on a regular basis. 

The main committee is the Executive Committee which is responsible for the overall running of the society including policy making, financial management, recording contemporary history and awarding plaques. It also oversees the two other committees which are the Environment and Heritage sub-committees.

The Environment Sub-committee is responsible for such things as planning applications, local traffic matters and other related matters.

The Heritage Sub-committee is responsible for such things as planning events and preserving the heritage of the town.
